Use it as an initial screening before you make an offer. It’s an Excel spreadsheet that you can use once you find a few prospects. This is a standalone spreadsheet, no installation required. You first download the file and then load it into your Excel application, HouseGuidePC1.xlsx. It’s a 14 question screening that will ask important questions that buyers and investors are asking before they decide to make an offer. It asks for basic facts about the potential purchase, and gives a point rating. A house with a point rating number 35 and below will not be approved. This depends on many important factors like condition of the home, garage size and if it has a basement.
Before entering the questionnaire, you’ll need to pass the preliminary screening. You must answer “Yes” to all 4 questions that are important to many buyers and investors before considering the purchase. 1. Does the house include all utilities? (gas, water, etc.). 2. Does it include gas heat? 3. Are the roads paved? and 4. Is the down payment and initial cost within your budget?
